General information of the Rocca di Pierle.
| | - The Rocca di Pierle is a medieval building located in Tuscany, in the province of Arezzo, in the Municipality of Cortona;
- is an asset of historical, cultural and landscape interest, therefore it is subject to the constraints of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Arezzo;
- is a property; private;
- the current ownership, which took over in 2007, immediately worked to recover the property that had been in total abandonment for decades;
- consists of a Castle with a medieval tower of 42 meters, two courtyards surrounded by walls and appliances for a total of about 5000 square meters;
- access to the Rocca is guaranteed by a local road which allows the entry of small dimensions;
- since 2018 it is undergoing renovation and some parts of it are in a state of ruin;
- can be visited by appointment except for construction site activities and areas that are unusable for reasons security;
- At the end of the restoration activities, the fortress will be used as a tourist attraction for demonstrations and events.
